Armed groups help flood victims

Kokang's Myanmar Nationalities Democratic Alliance Army and the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) have donated cash to help flood victims through the Sitagu International Buddhist Missionary Group led by Dr Ashin Nyanissara.
The groups donated Ks50 million and Ks30 million respectively, according to the Sitagu academy in Yangon.
“They transferred money to us through our bank. They called us first. We received donations from whoever will give to us. They transferred the money through the KBZ branch in Muse [northern Shan State],” said Sitagu’s Ashin Kaw Wida.
