Company shows sensible forethought

I would like to congratulate the chairwoman of Toshiba, Khun Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, for saying that her company will not be involved in any process that could lead to corruption, and for taking the initiative in not entering the bidding for the Yingluck

It is a no-brainer to imagine that the winning parties will not try to recoup their investment in the election campaign. The Shinawatra family image with regards to transparency and honesty is also in doubt, considering their many corruption cases pending in the court. It is too naive to believe that the bidding will be clean and fair. The current anti-corruption law and its enforcement will only be a farce if the majority of people still think that corruption is a Thai norm and condone it if they themselves share the benefit. Toshiba indeed reserves our respect in setting the standard in business practice.
