Decentralisation could help stop senseless murders

The charred remains of Ajarn Kanit Lamnui, a dedicated and highly respected teacher at Baan Kue Meng School in Yala, serve as a testament to the urgent need for a decentralised policy change in the deep South and a call for action to deal vigilantly with

Doused with petrol and set afire, this horrific murder cannot be tolerated or condoned. Since it is known that four heartless thugs carried out this merciless, brutal attack, the assailants and those who ordered the savage killing must be identified, arrested, tried and convicted.

Our heartfelt condolences to Ajarn Kanit's beloved family, students and fellow teachers. May his blessed memory rest in peace!
