Why pardon? For good behaviour? Or regret?

First the convicted man lied about his faked interest in the Olympics.

Then cheated about his real destination, and finally didn't come back. And to supporters of this man: You forget to tell about all the twelve or more pending cases that were disrupted and delayed because of this man's absence from Thai soil. So if you give him a pardon for the land deal, you better put him straight into prison when he returns - for the pending cases - because he has proven he is a runner.

When abroad, this man was doing business worldwide. Was his "business money" declared and transferred abroad in a legal manner, or is that another case for the court? Can the media give us some figures? As some remember, newspapers wrote about this man's activity in the British Virgin Islands tax haven when in office as PM. What about the legality of that? If the Thai judicial system works and will continue to work freely, fairly and independently, this man will never set foot on Thai soil again - because he said he will never spend one day in prison.
