If you happen to pass through or live around Nonthaburi's Sanam Bin Nam area and feel the craving for gourmet coffee and a sweet treat, Je T'en Prie Coffee Bar will answer your call.

Located in the Sanam Bin Nam Market Park, this charming European country house-style shop decorated with furniture from Scandinavia and the lingering tones of easy-listening music, offers nice quiet seats to chill out.

Escape the hot sun and busy streets for the cool interior and you're met from the open kitchen by the warm smile of barista and owner Phatsaranalin Phongphanroum. The inviting atmosphere is a trademark - the shop's name is French for "you're welcome".

Visitors can make their order then browse the selection of chic handmade products such as scarves, cloth bags and scrapbooks on display.

The menu features standards like hot espresso, cappuccino and latte, but for something special go for the Je T'en Prie Falling in Love (Bt80), a special blend of premium beans from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Sumatra and Northern Thailand with a sweet hint of white chocolate, a sour touch of raspberry syrup and a hat of milk foam. Other house specialities worth exploring include the Je T'en Prie Queen (Bt90), a pleasantly unusual combination of espresso, yoghurt and cream; and the Je T'en Prie Glow (Bt150), a blend of espresso, bourbon, milk, syrup and whipped cream.

The variety of flavoured ice coffees features the Je T'en Prie Season Change (Bt90), whose espresso ice cubes, caramel and milk yield an intense coffee taste to the last drop. If caffeine is not your cup of tea, choose from smoothies, iced Belgian chocolate, caramel white malt, Italian soda, assorted English teas and Japanese green tea.

For a not-too-sweet treat to complement your drink, try the Banana Cheesy Bread (Bt60 and simply delicious), the Tart Au Citron (Bt70), the Brownie a la mode (Bt85), the Waffle a la mode (Bt65), the Chocolate Lava Cake (Bt80), or assorted macaroons (Bt20 apiece).
