Today, Breguet and Cortina Watch are showcasing the exclusive Tradition collection and the latest models introduced at Basel Fair 2011 at Cortina Watch Espace on the first floor of Erawan Bangkok. The exhibition is designed in such a way as to take visitors on a journey through 235 years of revolutionary timepieces.
One of the highlights is the Breguet Tradition 7047, which features a spectacular tourbillon mechanism coupled to a fusee-and-chain transmission. The design is inspired by the first tourbillon-equipped pocket watches of the early nineteenth century. The pride of its manufacturer, the Breguet Tradition 7047 platinum version is equipped with a state of the art silicon balance spring ensuring perfect accuracy.
Transparency, contrast and relief contribute to the impeccable aesthetic standards that bring to life each and every part and component of the watch. Its round-edged crystal reveals a gloss-polished flange and enhances the various levels composing the watch face. Executed by a rare breed of specialist craftsmen, its pellet- blasted decorative areas add a contemporary styling touch to the watch. Symmetrically positioned bars on either side of the dial form an impeccably balanced visual tableau, perfectly representative of a revolutionary collection embodying rarely equalled horological mastery. It’s valued at Bt6.05 million.
The other highlight on display is the award-winning Breguet Tradition 7027. The piece’s contemporary good looks contribute to a visual harmony that owes much to symmetrical bridges recalling the Souscription watch movements. Available in classic yellow gold, it comes now in both white and pink gold, with different movement finish (anthracite grey, pink), giving it a more contemporary look. The unusual design and exceptional technical are the result of a three-year project that fulfilled the challenging goal of marrying inspiration from the past with the spirit of the future.
It’s valued at Bt886,000 (manual) and Bt1.29 million for the platinum/auto model.
