SET HQ no match for Dr Sumet's finest

“What’s that?” was my immediate reaction to the artist’s impression of the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s new headquarters. Was that supposed to be an over-sized boat, just like the one at one temple on Charoengkrung Road, standing next to a fat pole?

The best modern building in Bangkok to-date is Dr Sumet Jumsai’s Bank of Asia building. It is so classical and agreeable with the environment that the architect’s name comes to one’s mind whenever passing through that building at Sathorn Road. The second-ranking is Lake Rajada Office Complex near to the current SET’s headquarters – so simple with striking blue.
