Tranced out and dancing

With Halloween just around the corner, some venues are promising jaw dropping and ear popping fun this weekend.

Tonight you can enjoy a trancey Halloween at Club Culture on Rajdamnoen Klang Road with special guest Graham Gold. The UK’s master of trance is scheduled to kill the dancefloor with local talents, Johnnie B and Hype Viper, in the main room. Resident Chris King and friends are spinning progressive sounds in the second room. Entry with a drink is Bt200. Dress up to win special prizes.

Teen vampires and juvenile werewolves get to party in the den at VIE Bar of VIE Hotel Bangkok near Ratchathewi BTS stop. The Twilight Halloween lures guests into the twilight zone where vampires, ghoulish ghosts and shape-shifters await. There’ll be live jazz and bar’s signature cocktails; Vampires Bite, Witches Brew, Monster Margarita and Pumpkin Martini to sup. Starting from 6.30pm onwards, the theme is  “Twilight” – as in Bella, Jacob and Edward from the movie.

Tomorrow, Hard Rock Café Bangkok in Siam Square is rocking party people in a shocking theme and all-night live music and DJ. 

The scary night starts with Lady DJ Champion, followed by live music from Thailand’s rock legends, Pang Nakarin, Suea Thanapol and Kod Taxi from 8.30pm. The Mosses Band takes over at the witching hour and promises to cast a spell over you so you can party till you drop.

On Monday, Halloween itself, Bed Supperclub, also on Sukhumvit Soi 11, is holding a theme party, New Orleans Voodoo Halloween. Bed is turning its main room into a haunted colonial mansion, Louisiana style, where you can cast your Southern style love potion in Bangkok’s bayou. Don’t leave home without your voodoo dolls, chicken bones and juju amulets! 

The White Room will be transformed into a creepy colonial mansion’s ballroom, where performances will have a slightly more funky and soulful feel with female singers to fill in as “the priestesses” of the evening. The club is awarding several awards in its costume competition.
