No reason to create extra panic

Re: "Deadly green mambas escape", November 3.

Your report was amateurishly and irresponsibly written and will create a greater amount of fear rather than be useful in alerting the public.  Can anyone in Thailand keep mambas? Or only certain government institutions that can hold them for research purposes?
Mambas are one of the most poisonous breeds of snake, if not the most, in the world. How did they escape? Where was the owner and why is he not being put behind bars?
You say the antidote is two to three days away? Has anyone ordered the antidote already, or are we waiting for a snakebite incident before someone responsible will authorise the import?
I am shocked at the way this whole report has been placed before the public.
