Third seed Tamarine Tanasugarn was upended 6-4 0-6 6-4 by her doubles partner Jill Craybas of the US in the second round of the US$100,000 OEC Taipei Ladies Open yesterday.
Tamarine broke back from 3-5 in the deciding set to carry the score 4-5 and 40-15 on serve, but her concentration fell apart as she lost four points in a row to give up the match after one hour, 53 minutes.
The two veterans later teamed up for the doubles quarter-final where they beat Thailand’s Varatchaya Wongteanchai and Chen Yi of Taiwan 6-2 2-6 10-5.
