Trying to take the coward's way out

The event in which PM Yingluck had to stay overnight in Sing Buri on Monday during a visit to the flood-hit people there, and Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung had to chair the Cabinet meeting in her stead on Tuesday, was planned.

In that Cabinet meeting, an unusual secret resolution was passed: to change some laws to include Thaksin’s name on the list of pardoned prisoners on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 84th birthday on December 5.
It boils down to the fact that Thaksin is fighting to regain his honour in a wrong and cowardly way. Thakin should call for a retrial of his case and prove his innocence in an open manner for the world to see. That, of course, if he is sure he hasn’t done anything wrong.
