Join the Princess for dinner

In Chiang Mai, Chef McDang cooks for a good cause

Celebrity chef McDang will be in the kitchen for a charity dinner and auction at the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai on Saturday.
McDang, formally known as ML Sirichalerm Svasti, will work his magic for Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali and other guests at the resort’s cooking school. He’ll even demonstrate his techniques.
The proceeds will go to the Princess’ project Save a Child’s Life from Aids, which the Thai Red Cross Society runs. Its aim is to prevent mothertochild transmission of HIV and provide medicine for pregnant mothers with Aids.
The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 6.30, followed by a five-course feast,
each course paired with a fine wine.
Chef McDang’s creations for the occasion will include Timbale of Fish Curry Mousse,
Pomelo and Smoked Salmon Salad served in Betel Nut Leaf Cups, and Braised Beef Osso
Bucco served with Green Curry Sauce and Black Rice.
Tickets cost Bt3,500 net. You can sit at the head table with the Princess for a mini
mum donation of Bt9,900.
And you can stay overnight at the resort in a Lanna Pavilion – with breakfast and dinner
tickets for two included – for Bt15,000-plus.
