Yes, the Arctic ice does some melting in summer, but Arctic ice has started to freeze earlier this year than its record early freeze of 2007. With Ulan Bator at nearly minus 20 degrees, and Winnipeg at minus 14, the UK and parts of China under frost and snow, the Arctic is happily freezing, defying his predictions. It’s not hot in the Antarctic either, with its largest ice coverage in memory.
