Now we know the government has been lying

Regarding Thaksin's passport: For seven weeks, the Yingluck administration has been lying to the Thai people.

It publicly pretended it was endeavouring to issue him a passport, yet weeks earlier, it had clandestinely already issued him one. During those previous weeks, if any prominent Thai had made that accusation (that Thaksin had already been issued a passport), someone in the Yingluck administration would have slapped a defamation lawsuit on that person.
On the one hand, the Pheu Thai Party talks about “respecting the law” – whereas its actions tell a different story. If Yingluck says she didn’t know about the passport being issued weeks earlier, then she’s either lying or she doesn’t know what’s going on in her administration.
What else are they lying about? Perhaps they’re also lying about not intending to place Thaksin back in the PM’s chair as soon as possible.
