Thai's best loved stars get together at Central World to raise money to fix damaged schools

 

More than 100 stars from the entertainment world turned out on stage for the recent two-day charity event “Palang Namjai Thai” (Power of Thais) held recently at Central World plaza to mobilise support for its fund to revive the country’s educational system after this year’s floods.
On the first day, the charity concert opened with So Cool and followed up with Nicole Theriault and Tik Shiro, who had the audience laughing and singing along. No More Tear, Lula, Crescendo, The Bottom Blues, Retrospect, AB Normal, Mai Charoenpura also performed as did a group of Academy Fantasia alumni to cheers and loud applause.
The following day opened with a set by Playground. They were followed by Chin Chinawut, Punch Worakan, Peck Palitchok, Klear featuring Golf Pitchaya, Calorie Blah Blah, Pijika, Soulda, Jetset’er, dancing queen Christina Aguilar, and a group from The Star.
In addition to their shows, the artists got up close and cosy with the audience, taking part in hug pillow and charity kiss for those making donations and offering T-shirts and wristbands with their signatures. 
They also walked around the plaza toting donation boxes. Fans happily outbid each other during included the auction of a T-shirt with Thongchai “Bird” McIntyre’s signature, which finally went for Bt12,000.
Every Bt10 from the sale of each CD, VCD and DVD went to the fund.
