Shut down the Night Safari for good

Re: "No such thing as a snow tiger", Letters, December 27.

Nirmal Ghosh brings attention to yet another example of animal abuse or neglect at the Chiang Mai Night Safari, which involves a “snow tiger”. These tigers are “selectively bred and consequently with a high incidence of birth defects and cub mortality”. Add to that the many animals which, by the zoo’s own admission, have died at the zoo due to inadequate care, and it’s obvious that the public should boycott the Night Safari and demand that this monstrosity be shut down.
