Bing! We have our first celebrity break-up of the year: actors Khemmanij “Pancake” Jamikorn and Arak “Pe” Supamornsiri. It took their fans by surprise, as these things usually do, first on the social media and then in the newspapers, as these things are usually reported.
Pancake broke the scoop, asking her fans yesterday to avoid the words “couple” and “love” until further notice. By the time the reporters showed up, her answers were prepared. “No, there’s no ‘third hand’ and it’s nothing to do with my mother’s influence, either,” she said. There was just no time for romance.
Enough facts – let’s hear the rumours. Folks have indeed accused her mum of spoiling the affair, based on another rumour that she didn’t like Pe.
Then there’s the matter of Pancake working alongside ex-boyfriend Sukollawat Weir Kanaros on “Nang Fah Kab Mafia”. Was that fire rekindled? Pancake denies it, but it’s too juicy to dismiss.
Apart from gossipmongers (like us), this is great news for several famous astrologers who predicted the couple wouldn’t last long. They’re always right.
One racy guy
Grand Prix Group owner Prachin Iiam-lamnao is, yes, a car expert. He’s the bloke who gave Thailand its first auto magazines and motor shows. He loves golf, too, and has a final ambition in life: build an international-standard golf course in Kanchanaburi.
“I turn 69 in March and I dream of opening my Grand Prix Golf Course by the time I’m 70,” Prachin tells Hello! magazine. Doable, say his friends and admirers. The man masters all challenges, and he doesn’t think small.
Prachin does know his “smalls”, though. As his wife Rujiroj will confirm, he’s good at shopping for underwear. His first present to her back when they were dating was some nice lacy stuff from Vientiane.
“I wanted to impress her and I wasn’t rich,” he chuckles. “And since underpants are the first thing you put on and last thing you take off every day, I knew she’d think of me!”
