You'll need this cable

A high-quality HDMI cable is essential for linking your home-theatre system to your projector to obtain the best picture quality.

Connecting a projector, which is hung from the ceiling, you will need a 10metre HDMI cable. With this length, the quality of picture could drop if the cable is not made of highquality material. During the test of the Epson EHTW3600 hometheatre projector, I used a 10metre Merrex Kable HDMI1 flex flat cable (HDMI 1.4).

Compared with a generic threemetre HDMI cable, the HDMI1 yielded much better quality. The colours were more saturated and the pictures had better dimension and details. The black also looked deeper.
The HDMI1 uses a larger conductor to allow better passthrough of the signals. Its conductor is made of oxygenfree copper.
The HDMI1 uses good shielding technology coupled with drainingmagnetic insulator to prevent interference of the picture signal. The cable is also insulated with interwoven fabric, making it look beautiful and also less liable to damage when it is twisted during the installation of a projector.
Its connector heads are also covered with a layer of aluminium to prevent the heads from breaking off.
The HDMI1 cable supports data transfer of up to 15.8 Gbits per second and supports the highdefinition signal of up to 4096 x 2048 pixels.
Merrex Kable HDMI1 flex flat cable retails for Bt8,000 and can be ordered online at www.MerrexKable.com.
