Writer's pro-Hezbollah stance needs an explanation

Re: "Israel still smarting from Hezbollah conflict," Letters, January 22.

I never thought I would see anybody outside the Iranian embassy defend Hezbollah in these columns, but that sounds like what Richard Bowler is doing.
Is it not true that this is a radical Islamic terrorist organisation with a history of bloody atrocities? Is it true that the suspects planned to blow up half of Banglamphu, beginning with Chabad House, the Jewish community centre, and several Israeli restaurants? Do we want to encourage these guys?
And may we now infer that the Party of God (Hezbollah) is also the Party of Bowler (Hezbowler)?
A little clarification would be appreciated.
