No one can deny that truants deserve to be admonished. But to extend that to innuendo of PM Yingluck having an afternoon fling is somewhat devious and mean when it is untrue.
If PM David Cameron visited the Ritz in Piccadilly, as Fred Morrice suggested, Cameron’s moral dignity could hardly be dented. In some countries like France, he could be admired; in others you would be told to mind your own business. But if Margaret Thatcher was treated by the Labour Party the way the Democrat Party treated PM Yingluck with that innuendo, the whole of Britain would have condemned the Labour Party as un-British.
Let the future be the judge of the Democrat Party’s current conduct and whether it is tantamount to gutter politics. In my humble opinion, most believe this whole episode is a storm in a teacup stirred up by the Democrats for political gain. The party’s solid image of high ethics has forever been dented without any effort by its opponent.
