Cast vote for English PL Player of the Year

Voters have a chance to win one of five jerseys specially autographed by the player of the year winner. The prizes are valued at more than Bt50,000.

The 11 Premier League players short-listed for Thai football fans to cast their vote are Robin van Persie (Arsenal), Gareth Bale (Tottenham Hotspur), David Silva (Manchester City), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Demba Ba (Newcastle), Luis Carlos Nani (Manchester United), Emmanuel Adebayor (Manchester City: on loan for Tottenham), Juan Mata (Chelsea), Scott Parker (Tottenham) and Joe Hart (Manchester City).

Thailand’s EPL Player of the Year, now in its second year, is an initiative to make it more fun to watch the English Premiership while engaging Thai soccer fans to vote for their favourite player from the short-listed footballers. 

The players’ performances can be gauged from scoring goals, passing the ball or motivating their team-mates and team to succeed.”

After the results are announced, representatives of 100Pipers will award the “Player of the Year” a plaque of honour.

 

Liverpool to play Roma 

Liverpool will play Roma in a pre-season match in July at Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox.

Fenway Sports Group is the sales arm of the ownership group for English Premier League club Liverpool, Major League Baseball team the Red Sox and a US stock car racing team, all now effectively under the control of John W Henry.
