US reaction to Thaksin will be interesting

Noppadon Pattama’s equation of the successful entries of his client, Thaksin Shinawatra, into many countries with the innocence of his client is somewhat overly simplistic to override the court’s conviction. Any country granting a visa to his client is purely being pragmatic and diplomatic because his client is now Thailand’s de facto prime minister. 

I look forward to seeing the chances of his client entering the States – a country that prides itself as most principled in the world. If he is unsuccessful, we would not hear of the news, but, if successful, then I can see Noppadon crowing about it as a factor for his client to enter Thailand without guilt.
