Why so many stories from 'The Guardian'?

It beats me why a good newspaper like The Nation continues to print many articles from The Guardian.
There must be a reason for it. Whilst some are intelligent and interesting, many are rather stridently ineffective and not amusing, and one wonders that anyone would take them seriously. For example, the one printed on Saturday entitled “Forget the Jubilee, have a knees up for Magna Carta”.
