ZUMA PLUGS IN THE DJ POWER

The popular Japanese restaurant at the St Regis has funky sounds all this month

Just six months after it opened, Zuma at the St Regis Bangkok is a favourite dining destination thanks to its award-winning “contemporary Japanese” cuisine, but it’s not resting on its laurels.
Zuma, now open seven days a week, has introduced a Sunday Chill entertainment series featuring local and foreign DJs from 8pm until closing in the outdoor area, where the restaurant’s popular Izakaya-style food, cocktails, wine and spirits are served.
The first Sunday Chill session last weekend featured DJ Tom Funky Gangster and his bag of soulful house. This Sunday it’s disco house with Felix Moreno, on June 17 classic house with Monsieur Markus, and on June 24 a mash-up set with Kevin Lazykay. The series wraps up on July 1 with Alex Fischer’s groovy, funky house.
Get there early for happy hour – “Nagomi Time” from 2 to 7, when premium Champagne, Prosecco, Singha and Asahi beer and Japanese sangria are discounted.
A bottle of Billecart Salmon NV Brut Rose costs Bt4,700, Zonin NV Cuvee 1821 Prosecco Brut is Bt600, and five bottles of beer are Bt380. A glass of Prosecco is Bt100 before 8pm. Cocktail fans are better off waiting until after 9, when the price drops to Bt100.
