Maybe so, but why do you think the military went through the trouble of mobilising tanks and battalions of soldiers, committing treason, tearing up the Constitution, and toppling the legitimate government? Yes, to get rid of one person. We have all kinds of independent alphabet-soup organisations – the NACC, EC, CC, AG, HRC – to deal with a corrupt prime minister, but we didn’t use them. It’s like we have all kinds of pesticides at hand but we choose to burn down the house just to get rid of one cockroach.
At least the attempt to amend the Constitution was done through the parliamentary system. Why is there such a big fuss? There was no whining when the military savagely tore up the 1997 Constitution.
