Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong assured us that all the “white lies” that he told us were meant to create confidence and benefit the country. However, I have a couple of questions to ask.
First, what difference is there between Kittiratt’s brand of “white” lies and lies of any other colour, such as black, blue or red? Are they not all lies? Also, should we from now on tell our children and grandchildren to imitate his actions, for it is okay as he just said?
Second, on the same day that Kittiratt admitted to lying about the country’s export figures, he assured us that GDP growth of 5-6 per cent can still be achieved this year.
Could Kittiratt please affirm if his latest declaration is the real truth – or just another one of his lies – delivered for our own good?
