Dudi grinds down Millman in QF

Top seed Dudi Sela of Israel eased into the semi-finals of the US$50,000 Chang-SAT Bangkok Open with a 6-4 6-4 win over John Millman of Australia at the Rama Garden Hotel in Bangkok yesterday.

 

Dudi will take on either fourth-seeded Zhang Ze of China or Indonesian qualifier Christopher Rungkat in today’s semi-final. Zhang and Rungkat split the first two sets yesterday before their match was suspended due to rain. The other match suspended was between Matt Ried of Australia and third-seeded Yuichi Sugita of Japan. The winner there will play Gong Mao-xin of China who ousted Huang Liang-chi of Taiwan 6-4 6-2. 
In the men’s doubles quarter-finals, Kittipong Wachiramanowong and Weerapat Doakmaiklee lost to second-seeded Divij Sharan and Vishnu Vardhan of India 7-5 6-4 while third-seeded Lee Hsin-han and Peng Hsien-yin of Taiwan H beat China’s Gong and Zhang 6-2 6-3.
