The more I listen to this Nitirat group of academics, the more I feel they are bogus. They keep repeating the same mantra – that only the best constitution will solve everything in our country. Wrong.
The administration of a country concerns two factors: one is the system, the other is the people. If the population is deep in decadence and folly, no “best” system or rules will be sustainable.
The problem with this Nitirat group is that its members focus only on the small picture – the basic law. They are inexperienced and lack inventiveness. They look at history books only for reasons to support their cause, and nothing else.
Worse, the group is looking to do away with the institution that has been the pillar of our society for more than 800 years, without ample reason. They refuse to look anywhere else for the real cause of Thailand’s problems.
