Raised on meat and dairy - and doing fine

Re: Bullinger's beef lacks substance.

Eric Bahrt states with obvious conviction that drinking milk and eating meat is harmful to health, and, with equal conviction, proclaims himself an expert on nutrition. He claims that Mr. Bullinger has never been able to disprove that eating meat is harmful to human health.
Let me, therefore, take up the challenge on Mr. Bullinger’s behalf! In 1950s Britain, with food rationing only recently abandoned after the war, the Milk Marketing Board urged everyone to “Drinka Pinta Milkaday” and free milk was handed out daily in schools. Milk thus formed a part of my balanced diet, as did meat, and I have regularly consumed both ever since. I am now in my sixties, and in good health, with no medication of any kind needed. Am I just lucky? Maybe, but my contemporaries grew up on the same sort of diet, and most of those I am still in touch with are doing just fine.
Mr. Bahrt is welcome to his vegetarian diet, but his constant harping on the subject is somewhat tiresome. “Live and let live” should be the way forward, hopefully into a healthy and contended old age.
