Hungry as a Hound

The creations of talented sous chef Romchat Kumsiri, the dishes fuse the very best of east and west under the concept perfect “Chic & Glam Asian-Italian Dining Twists”.

Another Hound, which has been doing a roaring trade since it opened at Siam Paragon five years ago, seats 140 diners in an airy space decorated with black walls, leather furnishings and luxurious chandeliers.

“It’s the first time we’ve created a selection of festive dishes devoted to the end-of-year celebrations. We want our customers to feel special so we’re using only the very best ingredients,” says Romchat, who graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York.

The taste bud teasers include crab cake salad (Bt280) that’s creamy but also spicy and in addition to the crab comes with avocado and croutons with a bell pepper dressing. For those who enjoy traditional English meals, there’s peppery Cumberland sausages served with smooth garlic mashed potato and green peas in onion mustard sauce for Bt380. 

Equally delicious are grilled marinated pork spare ribs with Thai herbs and grilled veggies served with brown sticky rice and tamarind sauce (Bt520). For dessert, you can design your own waffles – three flavours are available – add a choice of 10 toppings including sliced banana, Nutella, strawberry, peanut butter, Cheddar cheese and almond, then dribble raspberry, blueberry or chocolate sauce before adding a scoop of home-made ice cream.

Romchat will also be offering more festive menus in December. Dishes will include spaghetti beef cheek, foie gras and pomelo salad and midnight turkey.
