Vote for the lesser of two evils

Last Wednesday Guy Baker asked in a letter why they don't have "None of the Above" on ballots for the US presidential elections. If I'm not mistaken, I saw "No preference" on my absentee ballot before I e-mailed it in.

At one time I thought of voting for a third-party candidate, or not voting at all. I even once thought of writing my own name in for president. But finally I decided to vote for President Obama, for the simple reason that, if I didn’t, I’d only be helping Mitt Romney, who is far worse. The bottom line is that, if you don’t vote for the lesser of the two evils, you’re in effect voting for the greater of the two evils.
