LOOKING BETTER WITH THAKSIN'S GIRLS

Shinawatra sisters Paethongtan and Pinthongta have new ways to buff your nails

Sharing a passion for beauty and fashion, the Shinawatra sisters – Thaksin’s daughters Pinthongta and Paethongtan – have opened a salon called The Sisters Nails and More on the second floor of Siam Paragon.
Saying that the salon derives from their personal love of grooming nails, Pinthongta declared, “We are such very close sisters and have a similar lifestyle, and what we like to do together often has gone into this nail shop. I think beautiful nails help boost personalities and complete a woman’s style.”
“We have always dreamed of doing something together apart from the property business, which is very tough – the nail boutique will be more relaxing!” Paethongtan added. “Also, since we often travel abroad, we want to introduce Thai women to new styles, colours and trends in grooming nails.”
The salon reflects their personal style, using wood and marble. Their closeness as sisters is echoed in the profusion of near-identical Russian dolls among the decor.
The overall ambience suggests first-class service and exclusivity. “While the woman is having her nails done, her man can enjoy our private room where there are all kinds of electronic gadgets and TV sets for watching the latest movies,” Pinthongta points out. “Our staff is very well trained, so that customers will feel like they’re on a first-class airline flight.”
Although their exiled father could hardly attend the shop’s opening, the sisters received warm hugs from their mother, Khunying Potjaman Na Pombejra, and congratulations from a long list of VIP guests and friends.
