More than 180 world-class wristwatch brands are showcasing their latest designs and technology at the Bangkok World Watch Fair, and all the models are available at The Mall, The Emporium and Siam Paragon until December 31.
Under a concept “the arts of precision”, famous labels such as Issey Miyake, Arbutus, Fortis, Breitling, Frederique Constant, Maurice Lacroix, Rado, Charriol, Mido and Seiko are offering the newest collections with discounts of up to 70 per cent.
The highlights include a Fortis 47 World Timer GMT model that gives the hour in three different time zones. The first is shown by the hand in the centre of the dial, the second through a world map on a blue disk and the third through a 24-hour system matched to 24 cities.
Meanwhile the Breitling Transocean Chronograph Unitime chronograph features all 24 time zones around the world. The system uses two moving disks, one indicating 24 hours and the other bearing the names of 24 cities. The city disk in several different languages also has indications for daylight saving time. To change the time zone, the wearer simply pulls out the crown and turns it forward or backward one hour. The watch also has a stopwatch feature.
