The wide selection of brands has ensured that Asian skin-whitening products have never lost their popularity. The France-based Clarins Group has done particularly well in this multimillion-dollar industry, and recently unveiled its latest innovation, White Plus Total Luminescent, at the Khao Yai Art Museum.
Usara Yongpiyakul, vice president of Central Trading, Clarins distributor, said it was Clarins’ major breakthrough in skin-whitening research to promote not only fairer, more even skin, but also to grant Asian women’s wish of achieving healthy looking transparency and rosy luminescence, as if came naturally from within.
Clarins Laboratories carried out an extensive study on the skin’s optical properties and discovered that the skin is like a mirror, made up of millions of micro-mirrors at every layer.
With the new White Plus Total Luminescent range, Clarins explores this innovative approach to whitening, by reviving all those micro-mirrors to enhance the total luminescence of Asian skin, for fair, translucent, rosy, luminescent skin.
The “micro-mirrors’” interaction with the light is responsible for the complexion’s colour and radiance. The capacity of the skin to interact with light is therefore essential for its luminescence.
For the first time, Clarins Laboratories have identified the natural reflecting properties of certain skin components that act like millions of micro-mirrors, level by level, to reflect a total luminescence.
Stress, fatigue, UV rays, pollution, air conditioning and ageing can all damage the skin structure, leading to a loss of luminescence.
White Plus Total Luminescent involves a unique Trans-Luminescent Complex based on the best of plant extracts: extracts of ginkgo bioba and sandspurry.
It combines the most effective ingredients to act on the micro-mirrors and helps revive natural luminescence.
Thanks to this Trans-Luminescent Complex and its ability to trigger the micro-mirrors at every layer, the skin is able to reflect total luminescence.
The White Plus Total Luminescent range comprises six products: Brightening Hydrating Emulsion, Brightening Soft Aqua-Milk, Brightening Pure Aqua-Lotion, Pearl-to-Cream Brightening Cleanser, and All Spot Brightening Corrector.
Meanwhile Clarins’ BB Cream SPF 40 also meets the unique needs of Asian women.
Its city-proof formula was specially developed just for them, using an extract of organic black current buds. Clarins developed a texture that offers Asian skin types thorough, even coverage that looks natural and never heavy.
Clarins Research this met another challenge, creating a shade that complements Asian women’s skin tone.
Thanks to this ideal shade, BB Cream SPF 40 makes it possible to disguise any red areas, dark spots and other minor imperfections.
The complexion appears more even instantly and remains impeccable and luminous for hours.
The skin-whitening products will be available next month and BB cream in April.
