Like all parents, leading actor Theeradej “Ken” Wongpuapan and his wife, Bussakorn or Noi, recognise the importance of nutrients and are very careful about the food they give to their four-year-old son, Kunnatham or Kun.
So when Ken and his family were invited to be the first brand ambassadors for S-26 Progress Gold, a scientifically advanced growing-up milk with Alpha-lactalbumin that’s been designed in accordance with specific nutritional recommendations for toddlers, they went to great lengths to ensure it was right for young Kun.
“A proper diet is critical,” said Ken. “As parents, of course we always want to give the very best to our child to support his growth and development. I prefer my son to be as independent as possible in his daily activities such as bathing, brushing his teeth and eating breakfast before he goes to school.”
Noi supports this saying, “Before agreeing to be part of this advertising campaign, we asked Kun for his opinion and explained what responsibilities he would have. So when he complained during the shoot about the hot weather, I had a chance to explain that in a loving society he has to show consideration to others.”
During the launch event at Sofitel Sukhumvit Bangkok, professor Christophe Dupont, head of the Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Department, Hospital Necker in Paris, explaining the importance of Alpha-lactalbumin in nutrition. When digested, it provides tryptophan, which is pivotal for the body’s major organ systems,.
“Tryptophan helps supporting the brain function especially the neurotransmitters. A nerve cell can have thousands of such contacts with other nerve cells. They are connected to each other through an infinitely complex network of nerve processes. There has been more than 20 years research into this subject, and growth has been excellent with no side effects,” he notes.
