Cool choreography counts for more than a hard right uppercut when 22 boy bands and girl bands from Seoul take the stage in the Bt100-million show, including 2NE1, 2AM, 4 Minutes, Ajax and Shinee.
What could possibly go wrong? Absolutely nothing, and just to reassure parents, veteran promoter Vinit Lertrattanachai has as his co-organiser Artharn Yoobamrung, eldest son of Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm, who basically owns the police. So security at the venue ought to be nailed down, as well as traffic control in the area.
Also, Artharn’s wife and friends are K-pop-crazy too, so they’ll be there. That’s why he’s putting on his first concert. Gotta keep the family happy (and protected). His next show will feature his wife’s favourite singer, Jang Geun Suk.
Travels with Teya
Actress Teya Rogers, back from the US part-time now, graced the cover of Lips magazine a couple of months ago and announced that she was available for work. Say no more: She was at Bangkok Airways’ recent anniversary party to reveal her new job with IN Channel, owned by the airline’s chief, Prasert Prasathongosot.
Teya hosts a travel show that takes couch potatoes here there and everywhere the airline goes. “I’ve been to Luang Prabang and I love it there – it’s like travelling back in time,” she said of an upcoming episode about Laos.
Travelling has been a big part of her life since she was a baby. The family regularly jetted between US coasts, and later as she grew older, the flights extended to Thailand.
Determined to continue acting in the US half the year, Teya said she still hopes for a Hollywood dream role, and also wants to produce a movie, run a restaurant and write a book.
