Excitement is building over actress Bongkot “Tak” Kongmalai and wealthy businessman Boonchai Benjarongkul’s wedding on Thursday, not least for Tak. She recently uploaded her invitation on Instagram. It’s just a picture of the card, however – you can’t use it to get into the wedding.
But forgers take note: It is embossed with a big fancy letter “B”, the initial both their names share.
Tak’s daily routine is now focused on gently baking the bun in her oven, but the cards have gone out in the mail. Boonchai has warned Tak not to try doing too much while she’s pregnant. Boonchai, on the other hand, might be getting stressed out because their house – rising on 32 rai in the Ram-Indra area – still isn’t finished, and in the meantime he’s living at her family’s place.
“It was quite tough for someone like him because Tak has a big family,” someone close to him but obviously not that close told the press. It shows how much he cares for Tak, since he has to sacrifice his privacy to stay in that bustling abode, the same blabbermouth said.

Encore for Dia
American pop singer-songwriter Dia Frampton has said she’s really looking forward to coming back to Thailand again after receiving such a warm welcome from fans at last November’s mini-concert at Central Chidlom.
The runner-up from the first season of “The Voice” in the US had been in Smiley Smile Land before that, but only last autumn did she get to explore Bangkok, visiting the Grand Palace and cruising the Chao Phraya River.
This time she’ll be performing right on the embankment, at Asiatique the Riverfront tomorrow, in an exclusive concert for TrueMove H.
Last time Frampton said she’d love to persuade Blake Shelton – the Grammy-winning singer and her vocal coach on “The Voice” – to come with her to Thailand, but no luck for this trip. Not to worry, though, because Thai “Voice” favourites Singto Namchok and Nattawut “Max” Janemana will be sharing her stage.
