Labour unions were necessary 80 or 90 years ago, but for the past five decades or so, they have evolved into extortionist organisations that have put more than one country into a balance-of-trade deficit. If the US had a leader with the guts to take them on (with the exception of Ronald Reagan, who didn’t totally succeed but at least slowed them down), it would not be in the financial quagmire it is in today. Unions function on greed and bullying.
As for the Falklands, I have to wonder what the US would do if Cuba tried to annex Puerto Rico. After all, PR is much closer to Cuba than the US.
We have heard from a lot of Brits on this subject, with exactly opposing views depending on where their loyalties lie and what their agenda is. But, to be very honest with you, after watching all of Britain turn on its queen, who has served them for decades, in favour of “Saint Diana”, who was nothing but an opportunist, I really don’t pay attention to anyone from Britain’s opinion.
