TrueVisions is offering adrenaline junkies a new experience called H2, a fun-packed 116-channel combo package with Super Knowledge for Bt590 a month.
Debuting later this month, its topics range from drone missiles, field artillery, sniper gear, wartime tales and historic thrills on TrueVisions 125, all presented in full HD format.
“H2 is a very exciting channel supervised and produced by the team from the History Channel, which garners top rating in the US,” says senior marketing manager Kittima Ratanasangsathien.
“Viewers who are into weapons technology, battlefield stories, world history, never-before-explored knowledge and fun facts will certainly enjoy this channel.”
Among the shows is “Dogfights”, a military-aviation series currently airing on the History Channel in the US. It depicts historical re-enactments of aerial combat from the world wars, the Korean conflict, the Vietnam era, the Gulf War and the Six-Day War.
War stories get more historical on “The American Revolution”, a thorough documentary about the American colonies’ rebellion against Britain.
“Lock ’n’ Load with R Lee Ermey” is a dazzling look at the development of weaponry throughout the centuries. Ronald Lee Ermey is the retired US Marine who earned a Golden Globe nomination as best supporting actor for playing Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in “Full Metal Jacket”.
H2 isn’t all about pistols, bombs and missiles, though.
In the two-hour show “Apocalypse Island”, Canadian explorer Jim Turner unearths a “monument” on an island off the coast of South America that’s linked to both the ancient Mayans and “the phenomenon of 2012”. The History Channel mounts an expedition with anthropologist-adventurer Jeff Salz joining Turner on his return journey to the isle.
Starting on June 14, the H2 channel will be available as part of the Gold HD, Platinum HD and Super Knowledge packages. The new Super Knowledge package costs Bt590 per month, with 116 channels on offer, including the Discovery Channel, Nickelodeon and BBC Lifestyle.
