Bookmakers are taking odds that she’ll land the starring role in Channel 3’s upcoming remake of “Khon Rueng Muang”. Thickening that plot is the fact Surang “Khun Daeng” Prempree, who was Aum’s phuyai at Channel 7, currently has some irons in the fire at Channel 3.
For her part, Aum claims to be utterly puzzled. “No one has contacted me and I haven’t spoken to anyone,” she told reporters. “I wonder if this is one of those made-up news stories.” Now it’s our turn to be puzzled – people make up news?
Anyway, Aum dismissed talk that Khun Daeng had asked her to star opposite singer Thongchai “Bird” McIntyre as he makes his return to television. Beyond that, no more questions about the future, please, because she’s on a break from soap-opera land at the moment. She’ll be talking to the executives about her contract in the next two weeks.
Aum seemed to be saying she fully expects to stick with Channel 7, but we’ve heard that one before. Araya “Chompoo” A Hargate and Woranuch “Nune” Bhirombakdi swore they’d stay loyal to 7 before scuttling over to 3.
Benz picks her boy
Pornchita “Benz” Na Songkhla loves a man in uniform, and has cheerfully announced that she’ll soon marry her long-time beau and fellow actor Boromwut “Mic” Hiranyatsathiti. Evidently it took more than his military officer’s gear to win the approval of Benz’s mother, who’s always been hard to please when it comes to her daughter’s boyfriends.
Knowing she’s 34, reporters asked Benz about having children. As soon as possible, she affirmed. “I’ll have to go through so many tests, so it’d be better to start ‘early’,” she giggled.
That’s certainly one part of the plan that her mum will be ready to endorse.
