Watches that fly, dive and say "Please" are on sale at Siam Paragon
WRISTWATCH DISTRIBUTOR Trocadero Group has the latest luxurious timepieces from Switzerland and Japan at the Siam Paragon Watch Expo through August 13.
Among the designs on view are the Oris Aquis Depth Gauge for divers, which measures depth by letting water inside, and the Oris Royal Flying Doctor pays tribute to that remarkable medical service in Australia. Physicians can actually check a pulse by monitoring the pulsating orange scale on the dial. A double-dome sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating enhances readability.
Gucci celebrates the world’s best-known music awards with its Grammy Interlocking timepiece, designed by Frida Giannini. One model has a sun-brushed stainless case and a black dial, and another is black PVD with a dark-yellow dial.
The Issey Miyake Please designed by Jasper Morrison marks the clothing firm’s 20th anniversary. Specifically, it replicates the colourful, pleated clothing of the Issey Miyake apparel collection. You get a three-dimensional dial, a urethane band, a stainless steel case and hands that are “hairline finished” to underline its appeal as a sophisticated-casual watch for adults.
