Reconciliation? Only with genuine intent

There is a story on the Internet regarding Pardeep Kaleka, whose father and five others were killed at a Sikh temple in the US by a white supremacist.

A former skinhead named Arno Michaelis reached out and invited him to dinner. Kaleka accepted, and he’s grateful he did. The grieving son and repentant racist have since formed an unlikely alliance, teaming up to preach a message of peace in the city of Milwaukee.
This is a story of faith and hope. Reconciliation is possible in the most adverse of circumstances. It needs each side to appreciate that the other is sincere in its actions and that there is no secret agenda. It needs an offending party to admit its mistakes and show by its actions that it wants to see change in the future. It is in stark contrast with what is happening in Bangkok right now.
