A Guardian article, “Financial crisis: timeline” (August 6, 2012) began with August 9, 2007, when the first major UK bank acknowledged the risk of exposure to sub-prime markets. But what happened before that? Perhaps Blair can explain his role in that, but otherwise we are fed propaganda that suggests that somehow the crisis was an unavoidable act of nature that occurred suddenly with no warning, like an earthquake or tsunami.
There are plenty of warnings about an impending financial crisis in Thailand, so maybe Blair could address that issue also. It would sure save him from having to explain Iraq.
