The folks from You2Play then announced the name of the new generation artist who will be the highlight of its first party next month. He's Porter Robinson, an American electronic dance music producer and DJ from Chapel Hill, North Carolina whose single “Spitfire” shot up to the top spot on Beatport Electro House and the the iTunes Dance charts.

A former recording artist with Glamara Records and Big Fish, in 2011 Robinson signed a one-EP deal with OWSLA, a new label operated by Skrillex, to release “Spitfire”, which reached the number one spot on the iTunes Dance chart. He's currently on a world tour of dance festivals and will jet into Bangkok next month for the “Party Revolucion” gig at Centrepoint Studio on October 9.

Robinson will also entertain crowds in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Singapore, New Delhi, Hong Kong. Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo before rounding out his Asian tour with shows in Australia. He is currently working on an album scheduled for release before the end of the year.

“You2Play is a community for those who love modern music, the social networks, television and music events,” says Noppadon "Jason" Chirasanti, managing director of PMD Plus or You2Play.

“Electronica and dance are as popular as ever, which is way we have come up with this new party project. Porter is only 20 years old but he's very popular in the US and has mixed for many world-famous artists including Lady Gaga and Avicii. The party will be a gas.”
