A-listers at the recent "HiSoParty Awards 2013" donated books to a Mirror Foundation project for rural kids

Six outstanding individuals and celebrities were recently feted for their party skills at the 8th “HiSoParty Awards 2013” held at Le Bua at State Tower. The event wasn’t as frivolous as it may sound though, as along with a luxury sit-down dinner, it also invited the A-listers to donate books to the Mirror Foundation’s “Reading Builds the Nation Project”. The titles will be passed on by the foundation to young people in remote areas in an attempt to create a reading culture.
Among the hi-so crowd attending the event were ML Piyapas Bhirombhakdi, Theerayut and Chanadda Jiratiwat, MR Srikhumrung Yugala and Major General Patchara Rattakul, Sikanya Saktidech Bhanubandh and her husband Nachanok Ratanadaros, Nuanphan Lamsam, Napaporn Narongdej, Chitramont Tejapaibul, Buppha Kingchatchawal, Piyapat and Usanee Leoneo, Suriyon Sriorathaikul, Lee Puengboonpra and Karatpetch Issara.
The “Best Party of the Year” prize went to Siam Center’s grand opening event while “Best Invitation Card of The Year” was awarded to Lacoste Live Spring/Summer. Varavut Laohapongchana was named “Male Party Star” and Supornthip Chuangrangsi was picked as his female counterpart. Chutimonth Sakulthai was named “Party Newcomer” was, and “Best Party Couple of the Year” went to Tippanan and Thawin Srifuengfung.
ML Piyapas brought along education books to the event. “Education is very important and I would like Thai youths to read more. Education in Thailand needs to be developed. While technology is very popular and well developed, reading also needs to be part of the modern lifestyle,” she explained. 
Tinnakorn Asvarak was thrilled at the reading focus of the dinner party. “I’ve brought lots of novels and poems that I hope will inspire them to become successful adults.”
Varavut Laohapongchana said he was donating the dharma book “Why”. “I found it very good so I’d like to share it with the kids,” he said.
