The Pheu Thai Party is launching a "road show" (paid for by taxpayers, of course) to bedazzle the populace with the speedo train project. Is this Thaksin's idea? After all, "Thaksin thinks, Pheu Thai acts."
Scratch the surface, and you’ll see the high-speed train is on China’s wish list – to zip its products farther afield. Pheu Thai can’t say no to China, can it?
This “road show” will present a shiny train zipping through the countryside. Thais will think, “Wow, we should get that!” without giving much thought to the many problems that will accompany such a foolish and grossly expensive project – and which will also adversely affect their grandkids and great-grandkids. The Pheu Thai road show should give away red, blue and silver-coloured candies shaped like little bullet trains.
