Thai firm ICC provided the swimwear and the makeup that Moe wore so stunningly in Yangon, as well as her underwear and shoes. Myanmar women are familiar with ICC products, particularly the BSC and Pannada brands, which are found in all the leading stores in the country.
Pannada “Boom” Wongphudee is there often promoting the stuff. Last year she was asked to model for a calendar there as well. So the beauty pageant’s organiser was happy to put its faith in ICC to handle makeup and outfits for all the contestants. It’s kind of nice that so many gorgeous Myanmar girls are helping to reflect Thai beauty onstage. This Asean Economic Community thing might work out after all.

Aum cheers up
Hard-news events occur at such a dizzying speed in this world that you’d think our showbiz celebrities could ease up a bit with their information output and give us a break. But, no, actress Patcharapa “Aum” Chaichue wants us to follow her along at breakneck pace.
Last week she announced she’d broken up with boyfriend Pitan “Amp” Ongkosith – not because of some other woman but because she was depressed about the death of her 16-year-old pet dog (and some of her other dogs were also very sick).
That’s kind of a weird reason to split up with a guy, reporters pointed out. Well, she just hadn’t seen Amp in quite a while and, anyway, she didn’t want to talk about it. “Please change the topic,” she implored.
Then a few days later Aum flipped the topic on its back, dropping big hints that she and Amp were back together. She posted a happy-birthday video for him on Instagram on Wednesday. “It was an old video she made for Amp,” her actress-friend Pitchanart “May” Sakakorn explained, sort of, but yes, they are back together.
“She’d be silly,” another pal, Kachapha “Moddam” Tancharoen, commented on TV. “She wouldn’t want to lose such a good man.” Amp is not only loving and kind to her but also to her friends, he noted. “If he wants to take Aum to Paris, he also pays for her friends to go – and buys business-class tickets for them!”
May reckons that Aum is pretty much ready to get married, in fact. “Next year may be possible.”
