I greatly enjoyed your article about the Elephant Nature Park (October 16), which is about the only place in Thailand that treats elephants kindly.
Since no one in the government cares how elephants in the camps and shows have been beaten and tortured, we the foreigners are the only hope the elephants have. So, again, I urge everyone to boycott those disgusting elephant camps and shows, and shame on those who don’t.
If you get to Chiang Mai, visit the Elephant Nature Park and let the wonderful people who work there know how much you appreciate the fact that they’re the only people in Thailand fighting for the elephants?
