You find out who your friends are

Re: "Red shirts appear to be biggest losers in amnesty bill", Burning Issue, October 31.

Have the red shirts been used and now dumped by the key man and his Pheu Thai MPs in order to secure his return to Thailand?
As a quid pro quo, forgiveness has to be covered for Abhisit and Suthep to neutralise the blows from the opposition and the anti-corruption movement when that man returns to Suvarnabhumi Airport and kisses its ground. But the red shirts can never understand this generosity. So, there we have conflict, with the likelihood of former friends bitterly driven to become enemies.
If we do not wish to experience the risk of another October 14 uprising, the best for Thailand is for those MPs to become more conscionable, to revert to the original amnesty draft of Samut Prakan MP Worachai Hema – Abhisit’s murder charge and the other man’s corruption guilt are not forgiven.
