Relief supplies overflowing in Thai warehouses

Earlier this year my wife and I visited the Philippines for the first time. We travelled around Leyte for almost a week, staying one night in Tacloban itself, so the images we have seen in newspaper photos and on television have had a particular impact up

On our trip we noticed in the small food outlets the large amounts of rice that local people were eating. BBC Radio has been broadcasting an interview with a woman who survived in Tacloban by clinging to the roof of her house. She says the main problem now is food and pleaded for rice. Can any reader think of a country nearby that might have some rice to spare? Maybe even rice that has been stored for some time and is starting to deteriorate would be acceptable, since this is an emergency.
